Over the last several weeks, business – and life – has been anything but usual. In response to such unprecedented times, Highwoods Properties has been careful to closely monitor all resources that enable us to continue serving our customers and communities to the fullest capacity.
Since the beginning of March, Highwoods has been diligently following the CDC’s guidelines and recommendations to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus amongst our employees, customers and communities. Our Highwoods buildings have remained open for business. We understand each of our customers is uniquely affected by COVID-19 and we are dedicated to supporting them through their individual response plans.
Where appropriate and possible, we have implemented working from home for Highwoods employees to continue business operations and support our customers. Where essential, our employees have remained onsite to continue providing service to our customers as well as monitor and maintain our buildings. Our property managers and maintenance teams are trained and prepped on the CDC-recommended procedures for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our buildings.
We will continue to evaluate our response plan and look for new opportunities to help as the situation develops. Highwoods cares deeply for our employees, customers, and the communities in which we work and live.
We are honored to have the privilege of serving such incredible businesses and we will continue working through this together.
Respectfully yours,
Ted Klinck
President and Chief Executive Officer
